César Chrisóstomo has extensive experience in maritime law focusing on collisions and all types of maritime casualties, including groundings, sinkings, explosions and fires. César has significant experience in cases involving pollution and environmental claims, especially oil spills and discharges of hazardous substance. He has litigated claims involving maritime casualties and environmental claims in courts across Brazil and in the Brazilian Admiralty Court.

As a result of his extensive experience, César has been acting in defence of P&I Clubs and other players in the shipping industry in complex litigation and administrative matters arising from maritime incidents.

In addition, he has been providing consultancy and advisory services on various matters such as Charter Party Agreements and multiple types of contracts covering companies in the offshore, cabotage, long-haul and brown water shipping fields.

César Chrisóstomo is the father of a girl, two cats and two dogs. In his spare time, he usually travels, preferably to places close to the sea, his passion.
